Musaala for Human Rights delivered a number of Sanitary and Shelter bags to the women’s prison administration in Marib
As part of the activities of the Aoun Initiative for Legal Support, Musaala Organization for Human Rights delivered 20 mattresses, 20 blankets, and 20 sanitary bags today, to the women’s prison in Marib City.
The initiative's director, Mohammed Al-Ghulisi, said that the Aoun initiative comes to confirm the role of civil society organizations supporting state agencies in protecting and promoting human rights in detention centers and prisons in Marib City.
Al-Ghulisi pointed out that the delivery of mattresses, blankets and sanitary bags to the women’s prison in Marib is part of a number of activities in which the initiative targets prisons and prisoners in Marib.
Al-Ghulisi explained that the initiative is currently implementing the restoration of bathrooms in the central prison and installing a number of toys for the children of women's prisoners, in addition to providing legal aid to male and female prisoners in 60 pleading sessions during the coming three months.
The Director of Central Prison in Marib Governorate, Colonel: Abdullelah Haran, praised Aoun’s initiative, and states his support to all interventions provided by CSOs in supporting state agencies in a way that contributes to the promotion of human rights.
