Field Study Report on the Presence of IDPs and Marginalized Groups in Governmental and Service Facilities in Marib City (Effects & Solutions)".

Musala Organization for Human Rights launched the "Field Study Report on the Presence of Displaced Persons and Marginalized Groups in Governmental and Service Facilities in Marib City (Effects & Solutions)". This was in an expanded meeting, in the presence of the leadership of the local authority, local and international organizations, and a number of activists and media professionals in the governorate of #Marib.
The study targeted the displaced in these facilities, local and international organizations in Marib, the local authority, the host community and the marginalized. The study focused on targeting Al-Madinah district, as it is the largest district in which the displaced reside, in addition to the presence of a large number of governmental facilities and facilities that the displaced take as shelter and a place of displacement from 2015 until the date of writing this report.
The results of the field study are based on the research conducted by the Mossala Organization, in partnership with the Executive Unit for the Management of Displaced Persons Camps in Ma’rib Governorate, and with the support of the Yemen Partners Organization, by organizing mini-focus sessions that were implemented during the period from August 1 to September 15, 2020.
This study comes as an attempt to contribute from the accountability organization in assisting the local authorities and organizations working in the relief and humanitarian field in Ma’rib governorate in providing solutions and alternatives that can be implemented to address the problem of the presence and survival of the displaced in government facilities and facilities, and reactivate these facilities to provide their services and ensure that the displaced have an alternative and suitable shelter.
The study report included a set of lessons learned and recommendations related to the parties concerned with the file of the displaced and their affairs to enhance the current and future efforts. He explained the effects of the continued stay of the displaced in government and service facilities, and the cessation of these facilities to provide services to the local community and the displaced in the city of Marib.
Musala organization hopes that the results of this study will contribute to improving the policies and mechanisms adopted by the authorities and organizations working in the humanitarian field with regard to the displaced who are in government and service facilities, and contribute to the development and submission of a number of proposals, recommendations and solutions through which the relevant authorities can develop and formulate activities, projects and interventions.
